Dan spolov in Hiša eksperimentov

Hiša eksperimentov is working on the European TWIST project (Towards Women in Science and Technology) as a partner. As part of the project, we have for the second year running organised the three-day event entitled "Dan spolov".

On Thursday, 8 March 2012, between 4 pm and 8.30 pm, some of you tried your hand at implicit associations, viewed the Women Scientists Database experiment, talked to Twisty, took part in the Bubble Trouble event and read some interesting facts from the world of science (Sweets).

In the evening, you saw the Toothology science adventure. At 8.30 pm, you took part in the TEAing Science Science tea party where the holders of the 2012 national fellowship programme entitled “For Women in Science", Nina Erčulj, Maja Pociecha and Brigita Rožič, presented themselves. As is customary for the TEAing Science at Hiša eksperimentov, we served tea and cookies to the visitors.

We continued the activities on Friday, 9 March 2012. Between 10 am and noon, we held a debate with the students of the Gimnazija Vič grammar school which dealt with the topic of “This world is made for women/men”.

This was followed by a press conference and the opening of the “Experiment of the Quarter”.

Between 4 pm and 8.30 pm, some of you again tried your hand at implicit associations, viewed the Women Scientists Database experiment, talked to Twisty, took part in the Bubble Trouble event and read some interesting facts from the world of science (Sweets).

You saw the Scientific fairytale Electron Dwarves and Cinderella, and then got to know the Science Lanterns of Hiša eksperimentov. The Gasology science adventure was organised at 7 pm. In the evening hours, we invited

you for some tea within the scope of the TEAing Science where Jelka Strgar gave a brief lecture entitled: “National Assessment Versus the Matura”. What's the bigger bogeyman?”

On Saturday, you had the opportunity to take part in our mini science adventures and science adventures in addition to the Implicit Associations Test, the Women Scientists Database, Bubble Trouble, Sweets and Twisty events.
