During the TWIST project activities in the Bloomfield Science Museum Jerusalem, TWISTY, the virtual puppet, was talking about science and gender with variety audiences – elementary & secondary school students, adults, ultra-orthodox Jews and women from the Arab sector. It seems that all of them were very comfortable talking about sensitive issues like stereotypes and prejudices about women in science.

All activities and events that we performed during the Twist project were special and original in many ways. We were often surprised by stories of female scientists and their scientific success and by their willingness to share their enthusiasm with the target group of the project.

The very significant experience of the TWIST project was organise the OST Open Space Technology workshop during three days activities. Organizing an OST is not simple. The first reaction is one of doubt, of scarce understanding of what will be done during the workshop, especially for those who do not have relevant experience and who have never participated in a workshop of this kind. Participating in a non-structured debate is not easy to imagine, but in the end everyone goes away with enthusiasm and a lot of interest in the methodology.

In accordance with the first gender day the entrance was free for all mothers and anyone accompanied by mothers.

Hiša eksperimentov prepared a special programm for the celebration of Women's day 2011 which we combined to be the first gender day in our science centre.
As usual we spiced up our activities with a bit of our own charisma and some genuine ideas.
It started with the IAT test for all the visitors of the centre.
